Bottle Apostle opens in former Olympic park

Independent wine merchant Bottle Apostle is to open a fourth shop in East Village within the site of the former Olympic park.

The new East Village site will be similar in look and feel to the Clapham shop

Joining the Victoria Park Village original and sister sites in Clapham and Crouch End, the fourth addition to the Bottle Apostle family opens on 23 May.

“We opened our first shop in East London, so it felt natural to open our fourth shop with a tribute to where it all started.

“East Village represents an entirely new way of living in London, and we’re ecstatic to be able to be a part of this change,” said owner Andrew Eakin.

“Its focus on building an independent community was a major draw to us. We’ve always opened shops in areas where residents share this love of the independent spirit,” he added.

East Village will offer over 550 wines all of which are colour-coded and food-matched; a small batch spirits range; craft beers and premium sakés.

In addition, two Enomatic machines will offer 16 wines by the glass to encourage customers to try before they buy.

East Village will also host in-store tutored tastings, themed events and “Free Friday Tastings”.

The Bottle Apostle will expand to a fifth site this summer, the details of which have yet to be revealed.
