Bibendum PLB raises £75k for forces charity

Sales of Bibendum PLB’s “Wines for Heroes” has helped raise over £75,000 for military charity Help for Heroes the group has announced.

Made by South African producer, Spier, the wines have been retailing in the on- and off-trades since summer last year with pub group Mitchells & Butler, Tesco and Amazon proving “major” players in driving the wine’s sales.

A Sauvignon Blanc and a Shiraz make up the range and £1 from every sale goes to the charity which helps rehabilitate wounded servicemen and women

Marcus O’Shea, head of Brand Partnerships at Help for Heroes said: “We are delighted how popular Wines for Heroes are proving with both retailers and customers; helping drive sales while raising money for a wonderful cause. Help for Heroes is a recognised and respected brand and by partnering with quality brands we’re providing the public with a really simple way for them to show their support for our Heroes.”

Michael Saunders, CEO of the Bibendum PLB Group added: “Help for Heroes is a fantastic charity that does great work for our Servicemen and women and we are thrilled that we have been able to raise money to aid their continued support of our wounded and their families.

“Working with the Help for Heroes charity has been a delight. We are currently looking at how we can further support our customers with their sales of our Wine for Heroes range – £75,000 is a great donation, but we have no intention of stopping there!”
