Champagne awards calling for UK entries
The Champagne Bureau UK is calling for wine educators to enter this year’s Champagne Ambassadors’ Awards.

Registration runs until 30 June 2015 for the award, which has previously rewarded prominent figures in the UK wine trade such as Richard Bampfield MW and Nancy Gilchrist MW.
“We seek out engaging and compelling communicators dedicated to sharing their knowledge and passion for wine,” said Françoise Peretti, director of The Champagne Bureau UK.
“Applicants who have been successful in the past are educators who enthuse and engage with their audiences, not necessarily those who know the most about Champagne, though both is nice too,” she added.
Following a UK heat which will take place in London during the third week of September, the UK finalist will win a tailor-made trip to Champagne.
The trip will run from 25-29 October, concluding with the European final and a celebratory dinner with all the participants and special guests from Champagne.
“In order to make sure we do not miss on anyone, we are calling the trade and the media to recommend educators they feel have greatly contributed to the field of education in wine,” stated Peretti.
Wine Educators can register for the award online at www.ambassadeurschampagne.com until 30 June 2015 or recommendations can be made to champagneambassadors@champagne.co.uk.
