Domaine Chandon worker killed in crash

A Yarra Valley winery worker and her eight-year-old son have been killed in a car crash in Victoria, Australia.

Kelly Crowley, who worked at Domaine Chandon in Coldstream as its hospitality coordinator, was killed along with her son Ethan on Monday after their Mitsubishi Pajero failed to take a bend and rolled, crashing through a fence.

Crowley, 34, had been driving home after a weekend camping with Ethan and her two daughters, aged six and two, as reported by The Age. Both girls survived the crash and were taken to hospital where they remain in a stable condition.

“Our team is profoundly saddened by the loss of our treasured colleague Kelly, and her lovely young son Ethan,” the estate’s director Susan Caudry said in a statement.

“Kelly was always bursting with energy and optimism and her wonderful smiling face will be deeply missed. Our deepest sympathies go to her partner and daugthers on their tragic loss.”

Police are investigating the cause of the crash, but confirmed that no other cars were involved.
