Symington unveils full ProWein lineup

Ahead of ProWein next month, Port producer Symington Family Estates has revealed what its brands plan to showcase at the global wine event in Dusseldorf.

Symington Family Estates will be present at Prowein 2015 alongside fellow members of the Primum Familiae Vini – including Pol Roger, Antinori, Hugel, Joseph Drouhin and Torres – on stand A40 in Hall 11.

In addition to its year-round range of Ports, Symington brand Graham’s will be showcasing “Ne Oublie”, a very rare Port from 1882, the year that Andrew James Symington first arrived in Portugal.

Graham’s will also be releasing a new Single Harvest Tawny Port from 1972 and will be opening a few bottles of a 50-year-old Vintage Port from its principle vineyard, Quinta dos Malvedos.

Cockburn’s Port, in its 200th year, will also be presenting its Bicentenary range, while Dow’s will be showing its 2011 Vintage, Wine Spectator’s No. 1 wine of 2014.

On the Douro DOC front, the latest releases of Altano, Quinta do Vesuvio and Chryseia will also be available, according to Symington.

The Drinks Business will be releasing its ProWein issue in March, featuring a full preview of the event.
