Luc Belaire launches luminescent label

Luc Belaire has launched a limited edition rosé with a light-up label as part of its signature “black bottle” lineup.

Belaire Rosé Fantôme is a blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah produced in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur in southern France.

Its label, which lights up thanks to a small battery connected to the label, is reminiscent of efforts by Chablis producer William Fèvre who released a limited edition glow-in-the-dark bottle earlier this year aimed at “hipsters” in a bid to attract younger consumers to the brand.

Rosé Fantôme is said to carry “aromas of strawberry and blackcurrant and a vibrant coral hue” with a final 100% Syrah liqueur dosage resulting in the “perfect harmony of aroma, taste, body and finish.”

The French fizz brand, owned by Sovereign, is favoured by American rapper Rick Ross who created a fan club for the fizz called “Black Bottle Boys” – his love of rosé resulting in the nickname “Rick Rosé”.

Belaire Rosé Fantôme will be available from selected retailers with an RRP of £35 in addition to on-trade venues.

The Luc Belaire brand was founded by Brett Berish, CEO of Sovereign Brands, best known for creating Armand de Brignac, which is now owned by rapper Jay-Z.
