Thieves swipe truck full of beer

A driver broke down in tears after thieves made off with his truck, which was filled with more than 38,000 cans of Miller High Life beer.

Van Thomas, the owner of the truck, broke down in tears on Tuesday while recounting the theft to a Channel 9 news team, as reported by WFTV.com.

Thieves made off with his entire truck and its cargo of beer on Tuesday striking at a truck stop in Orange County, Florida.

Inside the truck was 44,000 pounds of Miller High Life beer, the so-called “Champagne of beers”, or around 9,700 four-packs.

Thomas had bought the semi just three weeks earlier having started his own business after years as a trucker.

He told the news channel: “I don’t mean to cry about it but I’m just trying to do the best I can and make a better life.”

“It’s just so devastating to me.”

Luckily for Thomas, the truck was later located in Miami, still packed with “most” of the beer.

Police are still investigating.
