Bar tops cocktail with entire fried chicken

A US bar has thrown down the gauntlet for the most extreme cocktail garnish topping its signature Bloody Mary with an entire fried chicken.

The “Chicken Fried Bloody Beast” cocktail at Sobelman’s Pub and Grill in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Served in a pitcher, the “Chicken Fried Bloody Beast” cocktail is a speciality at Sobelman’s Pub and Grill in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and includes not only an entire piece of poultry atop it, but also cheese, brussel sprouts, sausage, prawns, pickles, asparagus, mushrooms and two “Baconadoes” – skewers of bacon-wrapped jalapeño cheese balls.

The stomach-churning concoction, touted as a hangover cure, costs £50 and is intended to serve four people with a portion of the profits directed toward a charity food bank for those in need, according to Steve Scumacher, a spokesman for the bar.

He said: “We’re not encouraging gluttony. 10% of its sales go to Milwaukee’s Hunger Task Force, an organization fighting hunger and serving those less fortunate in our community.”

Another of the bar’s signature cocktails is “The Bloody Masterpiece” – a Bloody Mary topped with a bacon cheeseburger.

But the bar is far from the first to get creative with their garnishes.

Earlier this year a bar in Canada unveiled its Checkmate Caesar – a “cocktail” topped with a burger, hot dog, roast chicken, chicken wings and even a brownie.
