Artist rebuilds Crystal Head Vodka skull

A forensic artist has rebuilt the face of Dan Aykroyd’s Crystal Head Vodka skull bottle in a creepy homage to the brand.

Using its skull-shaped bottle as a starting point artist Nigel Cockerton, who has a Masters degree in Forensic and Medical Art from the University of Dundee, carried out a forensic facial reconstruction adding eyes, muscle and flesh to the bottle to rebuild what could have been the real face of the brand.

The head’s facial muscles were sculpted out of clay with the Scottish artist finishing it off with a clay ponytail.

Cockerton shared images taken during different stages of his unsettling, albeit impressive, creation on Crystal Head Vodka’s Facebook page.

The brand was founded by Canadian actor Dan Aykroyd, star of Ghostbusters, in 2008.
