London Wine Fair returns to Kensington

The London Wine Fair will make its return to Kensington’s Olympia this June and is on a mission to attract the UK’s top independent retailers, sommeliers and on-trade buyers.

Hundreds of exhibitors, both large and small, will be pitching up to showcase wines from five continents at Britain’s largest wine trade fair hosted in London’s fashionable Kensington district.

Returning to Kensington’s 19th century Olympia Exhibition Centre following a stint at the Excel centre, organisers are promising this year to be bigger and better than ever.

In response to the growing interest in small producers and independent importers, a new feature of this year’s fair will be Esoterica – a table top-tasting allowing guests to explore niche and “hard to find” wines from some of the smallest, artisan and specialist importers operating in the UK.

The fair will also be introducing a new delicatessen stand and food service to build on the increasing popularity and importance of pairing food with wines.

Located within each of the fair’s halls, specialist delicatessen stands will serve a selection of cold foods including olives, charcuterie, hard cheeses, breads, artichokes and other delicacies especially chosen to match with your wines.

For guests, Kensington offers a wealth of nearby tourist attractions including the National History Museum, the Victoria & Albert Museum, Kensington Gardens and world-famous Royal Albert Hall.

Accommodation can be found in the West End by hotel chains including Holiday Inn Kensington Forum, within strolling distance of South Kensington, Earl’s Court, Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park.World-class designer shopping at department stores including Harvey Nichols and Harrods is just a stone’s throw away in Knightsbridge, along with major design house flagship stores such as Burberry.

The London Wine Fair will take place between 2 and 4 of June at the following times:-

  • Monday 2nd June: 10.30 – 18.30
  • Tuesday 3rd June: 09.30 – 18.00
  • Wednesday 4th June: 09.30 – 17.00
