Rémy Martin appoints new cellar master

Rémy Martin has announced that Baptiste Loiseau will succeed Pierrette Trichet as cellar master in spring 2014.

Having joined the Cognac house’s research laboratory in 1976, Trichet went on to take the post of cellar master in 2003. She has worked closely with Loiseau, a Cognac-born agricultural engineer and oenologist, since he joined Rémy Martin in 2007.

Announcing news of this succession, Rémy Martin’s chairwoman Dominique Hériard Dubreuil and CEO Patrick Piana noted the “indelible mark” Trichet has left on the house. They praised her “exceptional nose” and “daring creativity”, describing Trichet as “a grand lady in terms of her discretion, her candour and her generosity.”

Likewise Hériard Dubreuil and Piana hailed Loiseau as “a passionate, committed person whose curiosity is insatiable, driven by an unquenchable thirst for learning.”

An official induction ceremony will take place next spring to pay tribute to Trichet’s 38 years of service at Rémy Martin and to welcome Loiseau to his new post.
