HK$1m worth of wine stolen from HK firm
Approximately HK$1 million worth of wines have been stolen from a wine firm located in Tseun Wan, Hong Kong.
According to Wen Wei Po, this is the second theft they have uncovered this year, with the last theft occurring in March, although it was not reported to the police.
The firm was conducting an inventory check on Saturday 22 June when they discovered the missing stocks. The two thefts have lost the firm a total of 250 bottles of fine wines.
The police have classified the case as theft, and have not ruled out the possibility of an inside-job. No arrests have been made for now.
The wine firm is known to provide wine investment and wine warehousing services in addition to wine retail, and their facility is based in Wong’s Factory Building on Sha Tsui Road.
