Actress and rock star join celeb wine craze4th June, 2013 by Gabriel Stone
Actress Kate Hudson and her rock star fiancé Matt Bellamy of Muse have become the latest in a steady stream of celebrities to enter the wine business.
According to Life & Style magazine, the couple were so pleased with their 2010 HudsonBellamy rosé that they now plan to start selling it into bars and restaurants.
The pair are reported to have offered friends and family the chance to buy cases before it goes on sale to the public, describing the wine as “crisp, bright and perfect for upcoming summer.”
This move by Hudson and Bellamy follows celebrities including actress Drew Barrymore, Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie and film director Francis Ford Coppola, who has restored California’s historic Inglenook brand and recently won 26 medals from the International Wine & Spirits Competition 2013.
Another high profile couple who seem keen to be taken seriously within the industry are Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Their Château Miraval rosé project with Beaucastel’s Perrin family is now on sale in the UK through Berry Brothers & Rudd.
