Courvoisier ‘Le Voyage’ launches in travel retail

Maxxium Travel Retail has launched Courvoisier’s “Le Voyage de Napoleon” with World Duty Free Group this month.

Alongside the launch of the repackaged VS, VSOP and XO Cognacs, a Courvoisier bar – based on the cellar in Cognac where the spirits are aged – will be installed at Heathrow T5 for four weeks starting 20 February.

Maxxium Travel Retail director, Glen Williams, said: “Travel retail is a unique and important channel for Courvoisier and provides a great platform to showcase the brand to a global audience.

“Many travel retail customers look for premium brands with a point of difference to those found in domestic markets and the luxurious presentation of this collection caters for this demand, reflects the quality, tradition and craftsmanship of Courvoisier.”

The new packaging makes use of gold, black and Burgundy as well as the motif of Napoleon’s “lucky star” that he supposedly called upon before each battle.

Nigel Sandals, buying manager for World Duty Free Group, added: “The brand epitomises luxury and this exclusive travel retail range is sure to be very well received by our customers, both as an exclusive gifting solution and as a ‘must have’ addition to enthusiasts’ collections.”
