6th September, 2012 by db_staff

We count down the world’s largest Champagne brands according to case sales and consider their performance over the last year.

Moët & Chandon continue to head the list, but the overall tone of 2011 was of volume losses – with Nicolas Feuillatte one of the few brands to notice growth.

Over the following pages is a brief health check of the world’s 10 biggest Champagnes, complete with their latest news, as well as volume sales figures for 2011 and 2010.

This information first featured in the annual Brands Report by the drinks business, released with the July issue.

Is it a true statement that the word “Champaign” is the Original word owned by Champagne France?

All white sparkling wines made in America, etc. have to legally state origin of the sparkling wine as well.
    Example : “American Champagne”
Please reply to my email address. Thank you !
