Laithwaite’s Wine sponsors bloggers conference

Laithwaite’s Wine is to become a sponsor of the European Wine Blogger’s Conference (EWBC), set to take place in Turkey from November 9  to 11 2012.

The sponsorship will see Laithwaite’s Wine take part in the EWBC’s programme of events and workshops that aim to share information and broaden the culture of wine as well as working to improve industry standards for supporting wine bloggers.

“The Eastern Mediterranean, and the shores of the Black Sea, are producing incredible wines that should be sourced and available to wine lovers around the world. The fact that a well-respected wine retailer such as Laithwaites not only perceives its value, but is actively searching for quality wines to add to their portfolio, only exemplifies the excitement the EWBC is creating,” says co-founder Gabriella Opaz of Vrazon.com.

Speaking about the announcement, Laithwaite’s global wine director Justin Howard-Sneyd, said, “Tony Laithwaite is one of nature’s pioneers, and Laithwaite’s Wine was the first company to introduce flying wine makers to Europe. Tony himself is a keen, active blogger. We’re proud to be supporting other passionate and talented people who are sharing their enthusiasm for wine through excellent blog writing, photography and video”.

In addition to the sponsorship of the conference in Izmir in Turkey, Laithwaite’s Wine has also committed to source further quality wines for its range from the region.
