Alan’s family thank trade for its generosity

Alan Lodge’s family have expressed their gratitude to the drinks trade for its support and generosity since Alan died of a brain haemorrhage, aged 29.

Writing to the drinks business last week, Alan’s parents, Margaret and Colin, and his sisters Kathryn and Hannah, thanked all those who attended Alan’s service of celebration on Friday 9 March and those who posted comments online, which can be viewed here.

They also thanked the trade for its generous support of the The National Brain Appeal, the charity chosen by the Lodge family following Alan’s sudden and tragic death on 17 February.

So far, donations to the charity have amounted to over £4,000, and for those who would like to make further contributions please visit the Just Giving page entitled “Remembering Alan Lodge”.

“We are overwhelmed by the levels of kindness and generosity of spirit that we have experienced as a family since Alan passed away and we will never forget how marvellous you all are,” wrote Alan’s family.

“May God bless each of you,” they concluded.
