Gold ice cubes at new London bar

20th February, 2012 by Gabriel Savage

The team behind London clubs Whisky Mist and Mahiki have launched their latest venture, Dstrkt, in Piccadilly.

In addition to boasting the world’s first bar made from precious stone, Dstrkt features the world’s most expensive rosé, Château d’Esclans. Meanwhile cocktail Dstrkt Gold is chilled with an ice cube containing gold flakes.

The European menu at this combined bar, club and restaurant includes ingredients such as caviar, truffle oil and foie gras. Head chef George Yaneff has joined from José Andrés’ Bazaar Restaurant in Beverly Hills.

Luxury lifestyle group Brompton Brands has set up this latest addition to their portfolio in collaboration with the founders of Buddha Bar & Restaurant in Vienna.

Dstrkt joins other top end destinations to open around Piccadilly recently, including the Ignite Group’s Wyld at the W Hotel and Fergus Henderson’s St John Hotel.
