Hotel du Vin extends Scotch partnership

The Scotch Malt Whisky Society is rolling out its partnership with the Malmaison and Hotel du Vin brands across a further 12 venues around the UK.

Originally unveiled in January 2010 at Hotel du Vin Birmingham and Brighton, as well as Malmaison in Aberdeen, the collaboration was designed to allow Society members and whisky fans the chance to enjoy its range of limited edition single malts in a stylish location.

Building on the success of the initial trial, the initiative is now being rolled out across the entire Hotel du Vin group. To celebrate this extension, the group has created two special packages.

The £325 per couple “Society Sleep-over” includes one night in a suite with breakfast, a Scotch Malt Whisky Society three dram tasting, a three course meal with a Society dram to match dessert and a pair of Society single cask 10cl miniatures. A £135 per couple “Light Society Sleep-over”, is also available for those on a tighter budget.

Commenting on the roll-out, Paul Miles, managing director of The Scotch Malt Whisky Society said: “The last few months have shown us that our presence in the hotels has been a welcome one and it has allowed us to tell the story of the Society to a new audience as well as provide a new and unique whisky destination for our existing members to enjoy our special whiskies.”
