Hillebrand launches Wine Train

19th March, 2008 by db_staff

Logistics specialist JF Hillebrand has launched a new Tilbury-Daventry train service – dubbed The Wine Train – in a bid to reduce congestion and make significant environmental savings.

train_large.jpg The route, which launched last week, was the result of two years’ planning and a £1 million investment. As a result, the company explains, it will take 6,000 vehicles off the over-crowded M1 and M25, and save  1.7m tonnes of CO2 emissions.
