Vertical collection offered by MMD

12th September, 2007 by db_staff

Meerlust Estate in Stellenbosch has released a limited edition six-bottle vertical of its iconic Rubicon wine, available in numbered cases.

The collection consists of the 1984, 1989, 1993, 1994, 1995 and 2001 vintages, and will retail for £250.

Rubicon was first released in 1980, a blend of approximately 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, and is aged in Nevers barriques for two years before bottling. This release is only available in the UK from Maisons Marques et Domaines, Meerlust’s agent.
